Angel Power for children

Teaches 8 - 13 year olds to connect with Angelpower and to link up to universal consciousness
(Level 2 for 8 - 13 year olds)

The concept of God is difficult for young children...,

... that is why s(he) sent us Angels!

This is not a religious statement but a logical conclusion based on the cognitive development of children according to one of its most influential theorists and psychologists, Jean Piaget. His best known work is his description of children’s cognitive development. His theories are still held in high esteem, and as a student of psychology you have to learn them relentlessly.

Let's look at the cognitive stage of a 8 - 13 year old child. From about 6 years onwards, children enter the phase of concrete operational thought.

It means that children have entered the phase where they can perform operations (additions, subtractions, multiplication and division) yet, they are still quite a long way from grasping abstract concepts like god/creator/source, peace, war, love.

Source being all-knowing has made provision for this by sending us messengers in the form of Angels. If a child in middle childhood can't really warm up to an abstract concept like god, why should it grasp the concept of Angels? Because they are more tangible than God. I recall wanting to draw a picture of God - how I felt I remembered God when I was 8 years old. I drew an old wise man with gray hair, and light rays emanating from his head. My religon teacher got very upset and told me that one is not allowed to make a picture of God that this is sinful! To an 8 year old this sounds absurd and makes no sense. Would have made more sense to tell a child that age that God can take on any form s(he) wishes hence all pictures of God are correct! There are an abundance of images available on Angels. They have been moulded and created in every single form and shape possible: clay, material, plastic, wood, stone, paper; images of Angels are omnipresent.

More and more of 21 st century children have psychic abilities, a fact that has been recognized in scientific circles as well as in the global press. They can see or perceive energies, that we have closed ourselves to perceive and this can be very frightening for them. Especially children working with indigo or crystal energy can perceive earthbound spirits. They don’t want to go to bed because they are scared. They can either see or feel earthbound spirits. Not many parents validate their child's perception at that age and write it off as overactive imagination. Sure if you negate a child's experience long enough, it will start to believe you and loose its psychic ability of perception. Unfortunately that includes perception of God's messengers too, namely light beings from the Angelic Realm to which not only Angels belong, but also the lesser known like Unicorns, White Lions, and many more. Teaching them to abandon their magical connection to our source is really shooting yourself in the foot.

Your child in this phase is just before adolescence. "Teenagers" the modern word to describe the phase of intense change in a child's life, when all is turned upside down, need all the help they can get to avoid the pitfalls of drugs, crime, peer-pressure, child-hood pregnancy, back-street abortions, depression and suicide. Parents are of limited help during this phase as children go through a stage where they question and doubt everything any mortal has to say. They question themselves and do not know what is right and what is wrong anymore. This crisis is described by Erik Erikson as identiy acquisition versus identity diffusion. It is a phase where children need to define their self-image versus the ideal image, their gender role identity, their occupational identity, their ethnic identity etc.

If you allow your child to establish a strong link to the creative source via Angelpower, s(he) can help her/himself to manage her/his fears, anxieties, worries, jealousy, joy, anger in short, emotions that are not easy to learn to harness. Your child will further have a divine source to fall back upon during the immensely challenging time of adolescence, when parental advice gets thrown out the window and parents can pray their children associate with the 'right' peers. By allowing your children to learn how to spiritually protect themselves and energy management systems like shielding techniques, you empower them to be in control and under divine protection.

Pre-teens and teens have often grown out of the phase where they were scared of monsters and ghosts. Yet, new fears and challenges are faced in middle childhood. At times these fears cannot be explained with a rational mind. It can be normal development (fear of dying, fear that parents die) it can be fear of others and shopping centers, or any conglomeration of people. These fears do often not manifest itself consciously but show themselves by the child getting irritable, tearful, develops headaches, nausea or acts out of synch after a visit to the shopping mall. 21 st century children are extremely sensitive, a lot of them psychic or perceptive of others emotions. Unless they learn how to protect and shield themselves from other people’s feelings, they absorb these feelings which leaves them drained.

In Angelpower I am instructing children in a fun way to shielding and protection and lead them on a self-empowering magic imagery quest. Whether your child is just feeling tired after exposure to people of lower vibrations or negativity or whether your child perceives energies that neither you nor adults around you can validate, your child will walk out of the workshop equipped with fun processes with which they can help themselves be it in the middle of the night or before a shopping trip.

The senjor class 8 - 13 year olds, will do short guided quests. In one process they learn how to spiritually protect and shield themselves. One short quest will be empowering and healing and will introduce them to their guardian angel, their Unicorn and their sacred white lion (21st century children are more sensitive and more perceptive emotionally; children are often cruel to each other without necessarily meaning to. Bullying and being bullied, the 'need' to be accepted by a specific group are all stresses that can be neutralized by the empowerment and healing quest. The third process teaches children spiritual cleansing and maintenance. This process can be done by themselves after any period of emotional, energetical or physical stress.

The workshops are 1 1/2 hours for senior primary. All processes and concepts are non denominational and work in harmony with every child’s trusted belief system and religious background.

The workshops are conducted in a relaxed manner. The children's learning is based on application and experience instead of dry theories. By experiencing the sacred processes and spiritual tools, they will leave the workshop with practical skills that they can integrate right away. They get given a little journal in which they are encouraged to express their spiritual joy's and successes through drawing, painting and writing, poetry or any artistic means, relevant to their age.

Carmen M. Schnider-Kemp has facilitated workshops on experiential team building, leadership and transformation at levels from grassroots to Ceo's. She has designed and facilitated motivational courses for visual spatial learners at primary school and high school level containing modules of learn and study skills and mnemonics. Apart from facilitating for Rand Water, Spoornet, Lonhro Platinum, Sanofi-Adventis, Legal Aid Board, Primeserv and Maurice Kerrigan she is busy with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, specializing in Education and early childhood development to complement her practical counseling skills gained at life-line and over ten years facilitation in the corporate world.

Born in 1967 with an energy labeled "Indigo" today, she experienced the trials and tribulations of growing up with this energy firsthand. She understands the gifts and challenges the new children present their parents with. The recognition of trends and changing behavior patterns is no short term issue; hence famous influential behaviorists like Piaget did not include the newest wave of children. Crucial skills and information needed for caretakers and professionals are therefore not yet included in teachers and psychologists curriculums.

Carmen was born in Switzerland and immigrated to South Africa in 1993. She is married, has a stepdaughter of 13 years, a daughter of 5 and lives with her family in Midrand, South Africa.

I am looking forward to see you there

Blessings

Carmen
